Mission Statement
We are a totally volunteer group, no one receives compensation of any type for working on, or with our project. We strive to put a handsome handmade wooden toy into the hands of as many underprivileged children at Christmas time as possible at no charge. We begin working the second week of January, three days a week, every week until after Thanksgiving and we have done so every year since 1944. We are recognized by the Internal Revenue Service and State of Texas as a Pure 501c Charity so any donation to the Hobby Crafters Foundation is Tax Deductible.
Volunteering
We are always in need of volunteers to help us build and distribute our hand-made toys to kids in need. While prior experience in working with wood and painting is helpful, it is not neccessary. We are always willing to help train folks like you. We are currently working Monday, Wednesday & Thursday mornings 9-12 p.m.
Donate Today
Hobby Crafters uses each and every donation it receives towards making and delivering toys for less fortunate children. We currently have no paid staff, so the majority of funds is used to make toys. In fact, a $20 donation makes approximately 15 toys for boys and girls so you know your donation is going to the ultimate goal: putting smiles on kids faces.
